I love that there are many local cuisine options all in one spot! You don't have to drive around to different locations, when it's all offered at this convenient Kihei location. It is a bit pricey for the plates, but that's what comes with convenience. I ordered the spam musubi with extra Teri (for the sauciness) to-go, and the service was top notch. We sat outside to wait, since it was super crowded inside- and they brought out the order for us! Very clean, plenty of big family seating- def recommend.

Came here for lunch and I am so glad I did! Iced Macadamia Latte = 10/10. This was absolutely delicious! Beef Teriyaki = 10/10. My daughter said the beef was tender and flavorful. Fried Spam Musubi = 7/10. Not a fan of the breading, but, it was pretty good. Da Lau Lau = 10/10. O M G Hella food! All delicious and highly recommend! Loco Moco = 10/10. My son devoured this. Huge portions as well. Customer service was amazing! Food was delicious! They have outdoor seating as well as inside seating, and we opted to sit outside. The place is small, but clean!

Damn delicious. At first I thought they were a little rough around the edges but the staff ended up being super friendly and nice. The food.. is soooo good! Spam musubi is great but fried spam musubi is AMAZING! Kalbi ribs were on point and finger licking good. Garlic noodles and chicken.. so good, and you could taste every morsel of yummy garlic. We will definitely be back here again!!

I would come back for the fried spam musubi and soup dumplings! Great lunch spot! Not many tables to sit so may have to wait. Small business looking from their heart! My kids enjoyed the Keiki chicken katsu plate. The service was very friendly and accommodating The soup dumplings (not to be mistaken for chicken. Dumplings) were flavorful and very very tasty! But the star of our lunch was the fried spam musubi!

I wanted to get a plate lunch before leaving Hawaii, and we saw Da Kitchen was highly recommended on Yelp so we stopped in... I'm so glad we did! I got the hamburger steak plate and holy moly, it was DELICIOUS! The Mac salad was spot on, probably the best I've had on the island, and it truly was an amazing meal The chicken teriyaki was also good - the sauce was *chef's kiss* Lastly, we got the deep fried masubi, and if you try nothing else from here, make it this: we should have gotten 2!

I overheard a lady talking about this place on the plane on my way here. She would not stop talking about this place so I had to see what the hype was all about. Let me tell you they did not disappoint! I had a hard time finding it but glad they were patient enough to tell me where they are. From the phone to the time I sat down till it was time to leave, the customer service was on point. Now let's talk food. WOW!! I ordered their deep fried spam musubi! Then kalbi and my son ordered katsu! So much food and it is definitely da kine at Da Kitchen!! I can see why they were featured on Food Network!! Clean, awesome music, and the people/service....IMPECCABLE!! Mahalo for making our first experience an awesome one! We can't wait to tell all our friends on the mainland and I definitely can't wait to come back and try other dishes!

I'm a little upset with tourists and locals. This place should be banging- but it's just steady busy! The original location was our favorite restaurant on the planet, and we were crushed when they closed during the covid lock downs. Fortunately, they did reopen in 2022 and this was the first place we came when we landed that year. They were busy like the old days and it made me happy. Been here this week- came twice and neither time was busy. Come on people- it's the same great food, just a different location. The Notorious big is the best loco moco I've eaten. Amazing! Had the mixed plate tonight- think of tge rainbow drive in, but with the best, fish, Katsu, teriyaki chicken and beef you've ever had. Phenomenal! The crab mac and cheese is worthy of a visit just for that alone. The kalua pig is also probably the best you will have anywhere. If that wasn't enough we got a piece of peanut butter chocolate pie to go, and it was possibly tge best dessert we had this week. (Apologies to Dukes.) This is the best Hawaiian comfort food you will ever have- on any . Please come and support them!

We were told by several friends that this was a must try so we had to check it out ourselves while in Kihei. Knowing they were going to be large portions we came hungry after a morning of snorkelling. The place is tucked away in the corner of a mall complex so parking I'm guessing can get tricky around dinner time we were okay around lunch time. It's a small space with about 5 tables inside and 4-5 outside. Prepare to wait if you are a bigger group, we were just 2 so we sat immediately. We tried the deep fried musubi, loco Moco and kalbi fried noodles. Everything was served in to-go containers which was strange but knowing that we were almost guaranteed to take home leftovers we didn't care much. Deep fried musubi- the teriyaki soaked spam was flavourful and not too salty sandwiched by a perfect ratio of moist rice. The breading on this was thin, great texture and not oily at all. Came with a sweet teriyaki sauce which enhanced every bite Loco Moco- massive platter with gravy and onions over 2 eggs, 10oz hamburger steak, 2 scoops of white rice and a side of potato salad. Had a couple bites of my husband's and it was delicious. Previous tries of loco mocos at different places were too salty and heavy for me. Not something you want on a hot day. This one had lighter gravy with just the right amount of flavour and the hamburger was perfectly cooked. Kalbi fried noodles- this came with 1 piece of beef rib (3 bones) and a bunch of little bites of beef mixed with el dente fried noodles. The noodles were lightly coated with a delightful sweet teriyaki sauce. Simple but still hit the spot. A little on the pricier side for some menu items but the portions are big so you can always share or have leftovers for your next meal. There were lots of other specials on the menu we wanted to try so we might have to stop by again.
